This book takes us through many important events that happened in the United States' history. It starts with the Thanksgiving Feast in October of 1621 and goes through significant events of our country's history all the way to the tragic even of 9/11/2001. ( )

I liked this book because of the historical content. It had a lot of great moments from American history in it. This would be good to share the page that has to do with the social studies lesson you are teaching. I also liked that each story had a quote from one or more of the people involved in that moment. The only thing I did not care for in the book was the illustrations. To me they were a little strange looking. ( )

This work is an abreviated history of the U.S. that covers from the first Thanksgiving up until 9/11. It is written in a very descriptive manner and illustrated with pictures of painted sculptors of individual of time. The history is not extensive, but covers different aspects of the evolving nation. ( )
