This series sounded like a good idea at the time but I'm not sure that it quite worked out how the author planned. The idea of humans having to travel through time and space to gather a set of objects that will create together a key to understanding the universe and that there's a big bad galactic group who are trying to stop this is interesting but somehow it just didn't really work for me. I think that the authors felt an urge to experiment with older times without the pesky having to make the characters be historically accurate.

Tessa Marconi is sent back to the ancient Persian Empire where she encounters Prince Rustam and they find that they feed each others abilities. They both have secrets and they have to try to fulfil their missions, with or without each other. However the idea of being without each other doesn't really appeal.

It's not the best story I've read but it's not the worst. I wouldn't judge the author by this story. ( )
