A great resource for students who are searching for a possible major ...This book is arranged by Subject and Major first. It covers 198 majors in 26 broad categories. In Part I, broad categories covered include: Agriculture, Business, Communications, Humanities, Languages etc. Within each broad subject there is a description of each specific major like For Business Human Resource Management, Finance and E-Commerce are some of the options. It includes a broad description of the subject area and then a two page description of each major. Each section includes suggested courses for high school. Other majors you might like, questions to ask, career options and trends etc. There is a quote called “Insider’s viewpoint” from a current student. There is also at least one source for additional information that includes a website. Part 2 includes a brief description of majors. Each of these are about two sentences long. For example it says that Library Science “prepares individuals for professional service as librarians and information consultans. Part 3 is College Listings. Colleges are listed by Major and then by geographic area. Each Listing also indicates what level of degree is available.
