I loved how this book focused more on Stevie Ray and Rephaiem instead of completely on Zoey the entire book. ( )

Like with almost all the other books in the series I had a hard time to start the book but when I got to the middle of it, I couldn't stop. There is just something in these books that makes it hard for me to start. In the end I'm still happy that I read it, it was pretty amazingly good.
I liked how Stark and Zoe's relationship developed and how they became even closer. Also I can't wait to know what happens to Heath because he is one of my favorite characters.
I also like Rephraim and Stevie Rae's relationship so it's nice to see where that goes in the end.
In the end the house of night series is getting more serious and I like it. It gives me something to look forward to. And it is not anymore just some teen novel, it really has a true story and I can't wait to see what happens. So I'm looking forward to the next part! ( )

this book totally redeemed the series I was starting to see the series was faltering on a down slope to where I was quite unsure if I was ever going to read this book, I've owned it since it came out, and yet just now picked it up and read it. Tempted was such a downer I'm gad this one changed it's pace it was quite refreshing. I liked how the main focus was on the other's besides Zoey....Especially Stevie Rae and Raphiem, as odd as it may seem I really hope they would become a couple and all. But knowing my luck they won't which is a shame because my gawd I'm fallin in love with these two characters and falling in love with them being together. Also with Heath dead and gone, I think Zoey is now down to only one guy kinda refreshing honestly....but I can't wait to read the next book to see what is in store for Zoey and her friends and if Kalona will evere break free from the pyscho B***h Neferet, kinda makes me feel bad for the guy in a way....what can I say always a sucker for the bad guys lol. ( )

I love the world in these books. The idea of a Goddess, the elements, light and darkness. Warriors and Guardians who swear oaths to protect their Queen; it's all very cool. I liked seeing more of Stark's point of view, he cares so much for Zoey and it was amazing all that he was willing to do for her. Getting a bit of Kalona was interesting. As the bad guy, seeing into his head and how he interacted with Nyx definitely made me think and reconsider some of what I know. I do have a harder time following stories when there's a lot of points of view. There were about 7 I think and it was a bit much. Usually it's only 1 or 2 which is simpler. I am digging Stevie Rae and Rephaim's relationship and I hope that can work out. I hate Neferet and I hope she gets what's coming to her by the end of the series. ( )
