It then moves on to explain what exactly silver is, how it's made, and what it's used for. At the end are bulleted fun facts about silver, links readers can go to to learn more, and the author's resource page. ( ) 1. Main character Silver 2. Write the summary of the book. Silver is bright, shiny, grayish metal. Unlike some materials, silver does not corrode, or rust. Silver is the best conductor of electricity of all the elements. Today, silver's main use is in photography. Both photographic film and paper contain a silver compound. When it is struck by light, the silver in this compound turns into pure silver and becomes darker. The silver helps to form the imagines that appear black-and-white film or paper. 3. Write your feelings about the book in details. Instead, it is applied in vertical stripes that are separated by narrow gaps. If you look at the silver stripes, you see a reflection. However, if you look through a gap, you can see to the other side(See p 8). I didn't know the mechanism that there were stripes in one-way mirror. Interesting! 4. Write the words, phrases or sentences that impressed you most in the book and explain why they impressed you. Or you could write your questions about the book. On the other hand, the police are always in a room that is very dark. They can see through the gaps because the silver stripes do not reflect much of anything in the dark(See p 9).
