What they did on the way going to keep them busy. They dangers that the pioneers faced like storms and attack from others. The book states that nearly 20,000 lost their lives in this great travel out west.

This book would be a good for children grades 3-6, young children just did not understand it.

The Pioneers could be used in the classroom when talking about the Pioneers. You could use it to talk about the Oregon Trail. You could talk about life now and life back then.
