Burt and Verona are a loving couple. Burt has always wanted to marry Verona, but Verona resists, not seeing the point of the institution. Regardless, they are having a baby together and question their potential parenting abilities. They decide to move closer to Burt's parents so they can share the experience with the baby's grandparents. In Verona's sixth month, she and Burt learn that his parents are moving to Belgium the month before the baby is due. Being mobile people, Burt and Verona decide to move. As they want to share their new family experience with people that they love, they decide to take a trans-continental trip to meet with old friends and relatives. An expectant couple searches for a place to live.

People Who Love Each Other: The Movie. I thought it was great the first time I saw it, and the second time around I got a lot more out of it. (Maybe I was expecting a comedy the first time, given the cast, and held the lack of belly laughs against it.) Seeing real love portrayed in a movie is a rare and powerful thing.

Но никто не знал насколько эгоистичны близкие люди, сколько сумашедших и, порой, отвратительных мыслей скопилось в головах у этих людей. Но не всё так плохо, как казалось в начале пути, в доме родителей. А над некоторыми причудами друзей можно и посмеяться. Так где же искать тот дом, где появиться новая жизнь и поселиться счастье?

Couldn't see where to put recommendations for complementary films, so will note here that this could be watched satisfying along with the 2013 film, The Way Way Back. Allison Janney (playing a horrific harridan) and Maya Rudolph happen to be in both, but the whole approach to love-and-marriage-and-childrearing is similarly interesting in both. (
