The main character is female
Polly cannot help rhyming - this is a bad thing and she cannot kepp a job, untill one day she is passing a card factory and realises that this is a place where her rhyming is of an advantage and she quickly gets a job, excelent. But a doctor who she has consulted on the way has also gone down with this disease and is rhyming too.
I dont remember encountering speach bubbles outside of the beano, but here they are again in a book for children. They are essential parts of the story and are contained with the illustrations. Ok so I am an adult and I dont like this. However at least in this case they are of a similar font and similar size to the rest of the printed text.
As an adult I find the story a little lame, but for those who have not encuntered it before I am certain that they will enjoy this refreshing telling.
