It's summertime and Jane Jeffry and her best friend Shelley Nowack decide to take a botany course at the local junior college. Their yards could use some help. However, the teacher of the course is found bludgeoned inher basement, and now in a coma. A substitute lecturer is found. The course is a big yawn for Jane and Shelley, but the class makes them fix up their yards for class visits. Besides, Jane is very curious as to whom broke into their initial instructor's home. As far as mysteries go, this wasn't one of Churchill's best efforts. The story was moderately interesting, but not really exciting. There wasn't even a murder until the last 4th of the book. Dull. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Suburban mom Jane Jeffry and her equally green-thumbless best friend Shelley Nowack could kill plastic plants. But their scheme to improve themselves vegetatively dies on the vine when the celebrated botanist slated to teach a class at the local Community Center is mysteriously beaten into a coma -- and her replacement turns out to be Dr. Stewart Eastman, an arrogant, self-promoting boor. Did Dr. Eastman or a fellow classmate assault their original instructor? And who later plants a corpse in Eastman's compost heap? There's certainly an abundant crop of suspects. And it's up to Jane to weed out a killer. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
