I am trying to introduce myself to more young-adult books as I have heard that it is a genre that is really booming with exciting new authors and stories. Unfortunately this book ain't that great. An average tale of a freshman girl who just happens to be a pathologist's assistant (cashing in on that forensic science mystery genre that is all the rage) and what happens when she returns to her home town for Christmas. The murders that happen are incredibly far fetched as well as her involvement in them. However, I did like the interplay between her high school friends and her as they discover that going to college means a lot of changes and sometimes friendships don't survive that. ( ) The Body of Evidence series is about Jenna Blake a College student who gets a job as the Medical Examiners assistant. She helps out with the autopsies and everything it entails. This book takes place during Christmas break and so very little happens in the morgue. The Mayor is found dead, found in an alley in which he obviously arrived at from the roof. Meanwhile Jenna's high school friends start wigging out and killing their families for no obvious reason. Two mysteries for the price of one. Christopher Golden likes to add a hint of supernatural to his murder mysteries. They are fun and very quick reads. They are not deep or intriguing but generally are fast paced and a good escape. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
