Hal went through a damn lot of changes, and some big changes just made the whole thing a delight to read. No spoilers. It's just too fun and funny and impressive at the same time. I mean, damn. The rings of death and the gates of everlasting peace being opened to yell out, "Shut the fuck up, kids! People are trying to sleep, here!" Putting this volume in context with all those other tie-ins is necessary and right. I feel like I'm overflowing with information and the lives of a truly epic number of characters and their struggles. I heartily recommend reading this entire monster epic the same way. Total Immersion. Even the less impressive volumes are worth it after the fact. I'm pretty speechless, all told. A good, largely dynamic overview of the Blackest Night storyline. It was well drawn and the art makes it worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. The emotional roles played by the various Lantern factions were intriguing. I’m not sure I was convinced by the overall story line but I liked the star appearances by other heroes in this event. I’m sure DC & Green Lantern aficionados will get a lot more out of it. I think I was supposed to read this before the other Blackest Night volume...or perhaps simultaneously. It seems to cross over and back about halfway through. Here we get the origin of Black Hand and the black power rings, which explains a lot that I was in the dark about reading the other book. Other than that, there's just a lot of fighting and energy-slinging. Very little time to breathe. If you want non-stop action you've got it but I found it a bit wearying. On the plus side, the art is much clearer here, the colors vibrant rather than dark and monotonous, and as a whole this volume is much easier on the eyes. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
