Nashville por Robert Altman
On the 70s Altman train: Nashville was great. I just love how he plays fast and loose and the music is always fantastic. McCabe also great. Brewster isn’t good. MASH was good. I liked Thieves Among Us. 3 Women was good. Buffalo is not good.
2023 movie #144. 1976. Buffalo Bill (Newman) hires Sitting Bull for his Wild West Show. A so-called "revisionist" Western. Despite the all-star cast and famous director (Altman), this was really dull and much too long. Not really a story but a series of episodes.
2022 movie #106. 1974. 2 compulsive gamblers scrape together a stake, go to Reno and hit it big. Segal and Gould are great in this and it's a good film, but, although it's supposed to be a comedy, I didn't laugh once. Maybe things were funnier in 1974.
