Dont put it off

I've had this book in my tbr pile for a long time but kept putting off starting it because I don't like sad dog stories. When I finally started it I discovered that the parts about Ira weren't so sad. What was sad was watching a marriage die.

But its beautifully written, insightful, and I actually grew a little reading it. So don't wait. Buy it. Read it. You won't be sorry.

Interesting book about lady that is going through a breakup in her marriage and her old dog is also in his last days. She continually takes the dog for fluids, etc. to prolong his life. In the end she must come to terms that things are over. An easy read.

This book was a delight to read - I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes peeks into Ms. Balbour's acting career. I appreciated the sheen of humor that she casts over her stories, so that even in her frustrations and despair, you're still managing to laugh along with her.

An easy enough read, but not terribly compelling. The author's storytelling is exactly what you'd expect at a dinner party with a number of people who could claim "near-fame." The editing was good, though, and the writing better than I expected.
