Special Agent Jack Miller is to mentor Special Agent Ross Fruen on his first big case. A man wearing a mask similar to a former Governor robs banks. On his last job, he kills a pregnant woman. There is not a lot of information to go on. As they work the case, both men are targeted by the Governor. Slowly they start closing in on him. It is when Jack's daughter relays some information from a tour their family takes that Jack realizes what the target is. Can the FBI get the Governor before he hits his target?

I enjoyed this book. I read it in one day. I liked Jack and Ross. Watching Jack treat Ross like a gopher gives the story a realistic feeling. There is a lot of action-adventure here as they track down the Governor. I look forward to the next book in the series.… (mais)
