Straightforward book about the political landscape in Britain. The basic message here is that the UK is much like the US: the party of power that claims it is left has indeed, completely abandoned the working people, and is now just a party of the college-educated "elites" and city dwellers. Both have adopted the same identitarian attitudes, denial of reality, and arrogant condescension to those who are different. The last chapter offers some advice to the UK's left; I don't claim to follow that part because I don't understand UK politics and I am, as ever, doubtful about economic claims.… (mais)
