It is a collection of myths and legends (over 40 from different countries). I read Isis and Osiris. Set makes a plan against his older brother, Osiris. Osiris returns to Egypt to a great feast after spreading his wisdom of peace and prosperity to other humans. His brother announces that the decorated chest that he brought will go to the person who fits exactly in it. Osiris is excited to have won the chest as Set nails the chest and secretly throws him in the Nile River. Isis wanders looking for her brother, Osiris to find children at the shore with the chest. Set, the traitor had taken over Osiris’s throne. Isis became a fugitive in the town only to find herself homeless knocking on a woman’s door for shelter. After a scorpion bite and Isis saving her daughter from death can she live there where she has her son, Horus. Word of a baby boy leads Set ready to put Horus to death. Thoth warns Isis so that she can run away. Horus was safe and will one day be able to kill his father’s murderer, Set.… (mais)
