Who would have thought that a book about project management could prove to be both thought-provoking and entertaining. Bent Flyvbjerg has collected the stories of thousands of projects and analyzed the factors that made them a success or a flop. This book distills his conclusions about how to make big projects successful and illustrates his points with examples ranging from movie making to building an airport terminal. This book would be useful and interesting for anyone interested in how projects get done.… (mais)
Pretty interesting outline of the deficiencies of modern social science and some suggestions for remedies. Strangely, the book starts off with a long-winded account of human learning which seems to be off the topic and isn't of much use in the latter parts of the book. So it's not a well-structured argument, but nevertheless worth reading.
