This is a beautiful story about the power of individuals to create change. This book has no words, but still communicates the story effectively through simple, childlike illustrations. The book is about a man who is unjustly thrown in jail and his daughter and the community set him free by writing him so many letters. Symbolically the letters turn into wings that he uses to fly out of jail and return to his daughter. This book would be best for any age level, because the message is timeless.
Reading Level: 2nd-3rd grade
