"Shafted" by S.I. Hayes & J. Haney

My Opinion:

'Shafted' was a good read about how things can go in a small town as it did for Willow and Reid. Willow coming back to her hometown after ten years, will she be prepared for will lives ahead for her? What will happen after her friend Jasper talks Willow into coming back home to her school reunion and she runs into the one person she wanted to avoid? Get ready for a fun read, and the reader will meet some exciting characters that will give one a good that will keep one turning the pages to see what was coming next. I will say I loved all of the characters except for that ex-finance. Be ready for a story that will dwell on several issues besides Willow and Reid, but all come together, giving the readers one good story. In the end, will these one-time lovers be able to work it all out, or 'will the whole relationship simply get the 'Shaft?' This is where I say you will have to pick up 'Shafted' to see how it all comes out.… (mais)

"Hollyhock: Yuletide" was a quick good Christmas love short story featuring Sera and Issac. It looks like Sera is finally getting someone to love her and her two children. I loved how Issac knew when he loved Sera and wanted to give her and her children a life together in Hollyhock, Maine.… (mais)

"Ascension" by J. Haney & S. I. Hayes

My Speculation:

"Ascension" was a wonderful epic fantasy that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next for Maya, Zane, and Valaria.

Will Princess Maya Meleke be able to 'one-day unite the Normal and Paranormal realm after the assassination of her father and her mother's suicide?' It will be quite a long trip with the help of Maya's Officer Zane and one of her young affections, Valaria Cosumos. In 'Ascension,' be prepared for a reading with lots of action where the reader will see what all Maya had to go through to get to her throne. With Maya being thrown into a situation caused by a relative, will she be able to make it out unscathed? Will she get any help from Zane and Valaria? To get all of these questions answered and much more, you will have to pick up the first series 'Royals of Aeterna Book 1' to see how these authors bring it out to the reader. However, in the end, the reader will have to wait for the next series to get more answers about will Maya finally gets to her throne?… (mais)

"The Savage Road" by S. I. Hayes

My Speculation:

In this third series, "The Savage Road," what will Amara and Morgan find as they enter her homeland of Isle De'Corlen? What will happen as they try to figure out who is with them in trying to bring love, peace, and freedom? 'They were on a mission to save her people from the rule of her mother and her adviser.' Be ready for lots of adventure and action as some new characters come into play as well as some old ones who are causing havoc along with twists and turns as they try to find out many answers to solving problems for her people. I will say to understand book three; you should read the first two series so you will be able to keep up with what all is coming at the end. Now, how this story ended 'the final battle' left me having a few questions, but all in all, I did find "The Savage Road," quite one entertaining, colorful fantasy read.… (mais)
