This book goes through the entire alphabet, showing an animal that goes with the letter and the sign for the letter in sign language.
A traditional alphabet book (A is for astronaut, B is for bird, etc.) that also introduces ASL fingerspelling - excellent!
The ABC's in sign language are called the Manual Alphabet. Using the alphabet to sign is called finger spelling. When doing sign language, you can use either your right or left hand. The author uses a letter on each page and includes a picture and word that the letter starts with. Each page includes a picture of a hand signing that letter. I was glad to see the author used different races for the pictures of the hands. This books is awesome choice for all ages. People can keep this book for reference or just read it for fun.… (mais)
