A 99 kindle deal purchased because I just watched the (not very good) Hallmark movie I’ve the same name and was curious how closely they tracked.

This is a short book - readable in a single
sitting - and perfectly good as a wholesome holiday romance. Predictable in all the right ways with nice characters that’s you are rooting for and nothing to complain about.

Like usual, the book so far better than the movie adaptation.

Do you need to read this? No

Will you enjoy it if you do? Yes… (mais)

I picked this book because I loved the cover ( I know it isn’t the reason you should pick up a book but I am a cover magpie) and thankfully it was a really good read. Dealing with issues of loss, trust and finding yourself it was warm hearted and I loved the characters in Budbury and look forward to revisiting them in other books in this series. It is the first Debbie Johnson book I have read it won’t be the last. My only niggle was snow at Christmas in Dorset, had it been set in Scotland or Northern England I would have bought it but not on the south coast.… (mais)

Warning: ANIMAL SAFETY ADVISORY!!! Which may possibly lead to POTENTIAL FOR CRYING ON TRAIN ALERT

This was so very wholesome and appropriate after the Ahern I've been chatting up recently. I adored the characters, especially Nate and Lizzie, and how they all changed. Excellent building of romance (though it still was a tad instalovey.)

I know it makes sense given her past, but UGH I'm just SO ANNOYED that Becca had to get pregnant! After her very excellent outburst about how women shouldn't be defined by what they pushed out of their vaginas (I paraphrase, but only a little) I hoped that maybe we could have a strong character who didn't become a mom. Because I am loving Debbie Johnson, but I'm very much getting the vibe that she writes books about people who are defined by what they push out of their vaginas.

But this was fun. I loved that Becca hated Christmas. I loved that she was a grump. I loved that she was trying so hard to be a good sister. She's very real.… (mais)
