I found little to like about the unreliable narrator as she abused alcohol and experienced blackouts during her journalistic investigation of a protection racket and corruption in an ambiguously located "Mid-Atlantic burg." She stumbles into a vigilante thing the same way she stumbles through her life, recklessly fueled by alcohol. There are intimations that she may be LGBTQ+, but its frustratingly confusing and vague.

The art is fine, but the story really made little to no sense to me, especially the non-ending. I see no need to pick up Season Two if it is ever made.… (mais)

An all-ages graphic novel about a superhero and the ghost of her dead sister. It's cute, and there's a lot of promise here. Miranda Turner has taken on the guise of The Cat after her sister Lindy, who was The Cat, is murdered and the totem that gave her powers stolen. The plotline follows Miranda trying to figure out the how superhero thing, and Lindy and Miranda bonding as sisters (despite one of them being dead), with some superheroing on the side.

Unfortunately, this is Volume 1 of ??? with no new issues in sight, so this may be all there ever is, alas.… (mais)
