What a fantastic introduction to both The Trouble with Elves series and Decadent Kane.

Previous to receiving a free e-copy of this book I wasn't familiar with this series or author, but I am so glad I stumbled upon this book, it was well written, with likeable characters, a good plot, and it just flowed so nicely the development of the book never felt forced or rushed.

I recommend checking out this book as I liked it enough to now look into reading more of the series.

Impure Bargains starts fast and doesn't seem to stop. In this case, it's not the greatest thing. We arrive in the nick of time to watch Haven's brother, Jeremy, being dragged to held to fulfill his debt with the Demon King. Apparently, little brother always has issues, and Haven is right there to pick up behind him. Even to the extend of giving herself to Desiderus for ten years... Which wouldn't be so bad, if Jeremy had any redeeming qualities.
Oh later, as she's enjoying a little bliss, we learn that her job might frown upon it, since after all she captures demons (one of only handful with the ability) but she's about as magically inclined as a house cat.
The relationship between Haven and Desiderus explodes fast considering the premise of the book laid out.
There are some good parts (Tyson and his merry men of eradicate paranormals) but over all this reads more like an outline to a novel. The characters are rather flat, the backstory is lingering on longer than necessary at every turn, and there is a character whose only purpose seems to be a Mary Sue character (despite being a witch with an uncanny sense knows a lot of things but not the demon who joyrides with them between houses?)
Heads up: It's a serial.

Well, if you ever wonder what kind of book to read when you're looking for the type of romance that does not follow the usual clichés, look no further!

In Impure Bargains we have Haven Rowe, a sort of demon hunter, who happens upon Desiderus, a demon spiriting away her brother. Unable to find another way to help said brother, Haven signs a contract with Desiderus. The first of many mistakes...

Haven and Desiderus were not your usual fictional couple - if you could even call them that. He was after completely owning her. She hated his guts but he made her hot as hell - no pun intended!

Furthermore, up until the end of the book, they were each trying to trick the other. Well... When they weren't busy screwing their brains out in their minds... Or physically...

All in all, it was a quick, hot read, with lost of plot twists and witty dialogues. Seriously, worth your time 100%!

I fell in love with my characters- especially captain Joren Steele- such a love for the ladies, and Pepper, my leading elfess, what can I say she didn't bargain for what befalls her.

I hope my readers enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
