About the Author
Chris Kressner is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of integrative medicine. He has been interested in health and wellness since he was a kid. He earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. It was there that he was introduced to Eastern spirituality and a wide range of health mostrar mais moralities and practices, from nutrition to meditation to tai qi to kundalini yoga to massage. In his early 20's on a trip through Indonesia he contracted a tropical illness that could not be healed by Western medicine. It was this illness that made him want to examine the accepted ways of treating illness in our society. He saw massive conflicts of interest between drug companies, doctors and researchers. Chris Kressner began to study Chinese medicine as an alternative. He found acupuncture works by stimulating the body¿s highly sophisticated self-healing mechanisms. He complemented his study of acupuncture and herbs with a thorough education in functional medicine. Functional medicine is a personalized approach to health care that recognizes the biological uniqueness of each patient. As a result of his research, he has written some health book that reflect this knowledge. In 2014 his title Your Personal Paleo Code: The 3-Step Plan to Lose Weight, Reverse Disease, and Stay Fit and Healthy for Life made The New York Times Best Seller list.
