This is another exciting history of the submarine war in the Pacific. While Batfish did not have the the great tonnage sunk when compared to the USS Tang or USS Wahoo, she did have the distinction of sinking three Japanese submarines on the same patrol. Those subs almost assuredly were carrying important military & civilian officials fleeing the American Army as it moved to recapture the Philippines. Well written by a member of her crew.
