Definite triggers here and there throughout the series but definitely in this one. Elements, but not quite BDSM. Overall an interesting story.

This one was... different. Very stream of consciousness, and somewhat disconnected. Still a decent storyline, but hard for me to follow.

Decent sci fi romance. World building was okay. Nothing 100% stupid. We did have the humans called Earthians just WTF? so stupid. Terra and terran please. And the galaxy as a whole being small enough to be flown around in. Eh. I did like the idea of cyborg shifters though. That is easily the best shifter set up because science and not magic. The story was well enough plotted although I did wonder a bit at his occupation but okay. He hunts up stuff to be studied back on Earth. I guess I can buy that. Relationship was fine. I might read more in the series.

Strong sci fi elements but there is some willing suspension of disbelief required. Romance is there but light. There was one sex scene that squicked me out. Kinda had to read it with my feminist knowledge of history eyes closed. Didn’t let it spoil the rest of the book for me.

Cyborgs and shifters?

Seemed like it would be an odd mix, but it seems like it works well. Pretty good story, interesting world behind it.

Naomi Lucas has brought us back to her world of Cyborg Shifters. This story Stryke and Norah's story. In the last book, Stryker told Dommik that he heard a distress call, which was Norah, and brings us to Storm Surge.

Norah is a chemist who specializes in water. For the last 6 months, she's been working another planet, doing research for EonMed. On the day that they are scheduled to leave and go back to Earth, everything crashes down. A storm that covers 1/3 of the planet happens and some mysterious creatures that she calls shriekers start chasing her. She manages to get a distress signal out, and then huddles, trying to survive until someone comes to save her or she can get out on her own.

Stryker is a monster hunter and a cyborg shifter. He hears Norah's distress signal and there is just something about her voice that makes him have to do something about there. He gets to where she is as quickly as possible. The problem is that the storm is so bad and so big that he can't take his whole ship down, so he uses a small dropship. He lands and goes to rescue Norah.

Norah and Stryker had to do a lot of struggling to not just get off the planet but to also figure out there relationship. Neither one of them are too sure about themselves when they start, and are both worried about love. There is an HEA, and it is a very satisfying one. All in all, a good addition to this series, and a good book to read.

Beware the dog

I enjoy the cyborg shifters. You get the best of both worlds, cyborgs and shifters.

Reid Canis is a Cyborg doctor on Earth, running a breeding facility with no patients. He is lonely but stays by himself.

Clara wants a baby. She's planning on going to breeding facility so that she can get the surgery she needs so she can have a baby. When Reid meets her, he realizes he's in trouble.

I really enjoy the connection Clara and Reid are eventually able to form. There was one part that made me very sad.

To infinity and beyond

I really enjoy Naomi Lucas' cyborg heroes. This is a really interesting take on the whole cyborg story in her 'verse and an interesting one to read.

I can't get enough

I can never get enough of Naomi Lucas' cyborgs. They are pretty hot and very alpha. Gunner is crazy, but he's my mind if crazy.

I hated Elodie's father through. He was a jerk.

Netto and Rylie's story does not disappoint. It lives up admirably to the previous books in the series. I can't wait to see what happens next, with Zeph and Rylie's sisters.

Cute story

This was just a cute little story in the cyborg world. Very sweet and funny. It comes before all the other books. I really enjoyed it.

First and foremost, I had received this book in place of an honest review. Secondly I would like to apologize to the author Naomi Lucas, for taking forever with this review.

Alright so on to the book, I have not read the first book yet, but reading this one I would like to read the first one and the third one. This was set in a world like no others, like literally, you know it's set on Earth or what was earth. But there is a different species as well. This book is like a medieval saga, mixed with sci-if and a weird kind of romance. It's hard to describe any of it, but the world this author created was so vivid and surreal it kept me interested when I actually had time to pick reading back up. I love the character, I love the world, it's was crazy and awesome wrapped in one entity.

There was nothing hearts and roses in any shape or form about this story; in fact, it was more in my opinion about claiming and animalistic lust.
It was also if I'm being honest a trifle strange in content, so you know what it was absolutely inevitable that I was going to bloody love this.
I adore the weird and wacky and that is definitely what we are given here in spades.
This is a strange unapologetic romp filled with bloody gore and extremely graphic and carnal copulation.
Look this is going to be an acquired taste folks a bit like marmite; love or hate it people this is one that your not likely to forget in a bloody hurry.
If your easily offended or shocked then probably better to walk on by here.
Myself being a bit of a perve I found myself a spot and immediately got comfy; immersing myself fully in this unusual and strangely hot story.
Have to say this was my first minotaur romance; I have done centaur (I loved that also; see self-confessed perve here)
But here I did surely pop my cherry in all things, Bull.
I say romance lightly here as we actually have precious little of that, this is much more raw and primal in nature than romantic overtures and heartfelt declarations.
I also didn't actually find this that dub-con in nature this to me just screamed more heavy seduction rather than rapey.
Also, this is in no shape or form bestiality either I mean yeh technically the guy has hooves and a big bull dong and even horns but the dude walks upright and can reason and talk so in my book he's hardly there chewing the cud in a field now is he.
By that token, all shapeshifter romances would be reclassified wouldnt they.
So In "Minotaur: Blooded (The Bestial Tribe, #1)" the story is relatively simple Aldora living in a border town gets herself thrown into the Labyrinth.
Vedikus a Minotaur in the ways of his people takes Aldora for his own keeping her alive from all that would do her harm (Other than himself of course) within the labyrinth.
Determining to claim her for his mate he is willing to maim and destroy anyone who dares try to take his prize away from him.
And that's it really; its actually quite a simple concept but I really did work.
So Vedikus himself did kind of grow on me and though Aldora did very swiftly accept her fate here I found I didn't have it in me to care that much, this really for me was pure unadulterated fantasy at its very best and I devoured every wicked scenario I was given gladly.
The only reason I marked this down to a four rather than a five is I would have liked to have seen a bit more of them actually settled as a couple when they reached Vedikus's home other than that I was a happy camper.
I will definitely be indulging in the next book in this series Minotaurs are now my new flavour of strange but sexy.
I borrowed Minotaur: Blooded (The Bestial Tribe, #1) with my KU subscription.
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
