4 stars because I flew through this and I really want to read the sequels immediately, which almost never happens to me.

I always start a new kindle book once I finish my old ones and I was planning on just reading the first couple chapters last night but I ended up reading more than 40%! For me, that is a sign of a book I'm likely to give more than 3 stars.

This wasn't a perfect book, which is why it's not 5 stars. The flip-flopping from Logan about what he wanted to tell Blade was a little annoying just because it lasted so long. There are probably people who will hate that a lot more than I did but I was able to look past it.

I liked the characters and the relationship. I haven't read any other MC romances I don't think so I don't really know how it compares but it's a type of romance I thought I might like and it seems like I was correct. This really just combined a lot of things I like in the genre and made it so there was still a plot I could be interested in while still focusing on the romance.

Like I said, I definitely want to read the next book in this series. The last chapter in this book left me super intrigued and I hope I like that one just as much or even more!

I haven't read a sequel so quickly after reading a book in a long time. This one may be more a 3.75 stars read because I didn't love it quite as much as the first book but I still really enjoyed in and flew through it almost as fast as the last one.

I liked seeing the relationship develop in this book. I thought Gunnar and Raven made a really interesting pair and their individual skill sets made it a good combination of two pretty different people. I will admit, I was not super interested in Gunnar's backstory but that was a really small part of this book overall so it didn't hinder my enjoyment. I was very interested in Raven's story of growing up inside the club and I wish we had some more of that. I also wanted more scenes with Priest really acting like he was Ravens father because I thought that relationship could have been really interesting.

The plot of this book was probably the main reason I liked this book a little bit less. I still found it really interesting but I still wanted a bit more action from this book. You would think that a book with an enforcer character would have lots of action but he was pretty absent from the action in the first part of the book and there wasn't too much else beyond the big conclusion. It was still more than enough to keep me engaged, I just wanted a little more.

I'll probably pick up the third book soon. This series is just really hitting the sport for me right now and I really need a fast paced book to distract me from all the school work I have!

I don't know what it is about this series, but I just really like these books. They always hook me in and I end up reading them very fast. I'm super excited that the next book is coming out really soon and I will probably continue to keep up with the series.

This book followed Rebel, the brother of Logan from book one, and Coop, one the enforcers we've seen in other books. I liked the dynamic of this relationship partly because it's a little different from past book. Though I wouldn't describe any of the previous books as having a taboo romance, I believe there was an age gap in both and though both parties would have hard lives, one suffered more abuse than the other. In this book, both Rebel and Coop have suffered in the past. They are on a much more even playing field in terms of their experiences and I think that separated this book from the others and kept the series interesting in terms of the romance.

I thought the plot of this book was good. I think this is a romance series that I would really recommend reading in order because the story builds and escalates really well in my opinion but I also think they really do a good job making every story self-contained and easy to understand even if you haven't read the other books. This is the type of plot I tend to really enjoy in a romance which I think is why these books really work for me.

one critique I do have is that there was no reunion between Logan and Rebel at the end of this book. I would have loved to see these brothers rekindle their familiar relationship after they discover that Rebel didn't actually want to work with their father. Logan says in this book that he wants his brother back but then we never get to see that happen, not even briefly. I think it would have really added a lot of emotion to the ending and shown the importance of other relationships beyond just the romantic ones.

Once again, the teaser chapter left me super excited to read the next book. I've really liked Maverick as a character in this series so I'm very excited to see more from him and have a love interest that may expand the book universe a bit too.

3.75 stars!

I didn't like this one quite as much as the previous three books but I still really enjoyed it. This one was definitely more focused on the main two characters, Maverick and Jonah, as well as Jonah's daughter Grace and that meant it lacked a little bit of the exciting plot that the other books had. It was really only in the last 25% where there was really any plot excitement and I kind of wanted a little more. I was also a little bit more frustrated with the will they, won't they in this book. i think this is because there was less plot stuff to distract me. I also missed the club dynamic in this book. Though all the other characters are still around there's a lot less because Maverick has his own shop and Jonah is an outsider. I would have loved see a bit more of the club dynamic in this one.

As far as the relationship went I thought it was pretty good. I don't mind kids in romances and I thought Grace was a cute addition to this story. I thought our villain was pretty good and created good conflict for the characters but all the action at the end happened so quickly it became a little unbelievable, but not to the point where I thought people were super out of character. I liked that the trauma of being in an abusive relationship wasn't completely swept under the rug but I do think some people might find that Jonah was too trusting of Maverick too quickly.

This was a book I was looking forward to and overall I was very satisfied with what I got. The teaser for the next book didn't intrigue me as much as the one's in the previous book have but given how much I've enjoyed this series so far, I don't doubt that I will continue along as these books come out.
