About the Author

Peter C. Mancall is Andrew W. Mellon Professor of the Humanities, Professor of History and Anthropology, and the Linda and Harlan Martens Director of the USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute at the University of Southern California. A good biographical-historical treatment of Thomas Morton, perhaps taking him a bit too much at his word, but none the worse for that.

A good popular history of Henry Hudson's last voyage. Readable and well done.

Valley of opportunity : economic culture along the… por Peter C. Mancall

The book was rather a struggle but I finally finished. It primarily talks about land acquisition, ownership, use of the land and some other trades in the area. There is a small section on transportation, primarily related to road construction and upkeep or rather lack of upkeep. It's clearly a book for reference. It has an index but no consolidated bibliography so you must go to footnotes.
