Leaving Haven
I enjoyed the plot twists and this novel had a lot of situations that make you ask yourself what you would do in a similar situation.
In a few words, the story is basically about a woman who desperately wants a 2nd child and goes the path of an egg donor. Weeks before the baby's birth her life turns upside down, so much so that she actually leaves the hospital and the baby behind. What would make a woman walk out of the hospital without the child of her dreams? Pretty much the old story with a twist. I liked it in a way but, it was somewhat boring and predictable. The story ends with no real clear decision, although it isn't that difficult to figure out what the outcome was.… (mais)
Ok, but predictable and somewhat forced at times. Not a great book but something easy to read.
I read this in one sitting as I couldn't put it down. Now I can't stop thinking about it. I liked the story, how it was written (two POVs), and the character development. I will definitely look for more books by this author.
