The concept really intrigued me, but the execution is lacking. It reads as being aimed to a much younger audience than the plot suggests. The content of the story seems middle-school appropriate, but the reading level is more elementary.

A superb guide in a readable form for all of those that would be interested in Britain during this period. There is quite a bit about music, jazz, politics, lifestyles, interior, design, architecture, and it summarises and completes a very good social commentary that I think is a very helpful overview. Whilst this may not be exhaustive for the age of jazz, it’s certainly a very good place to start.
