Else Michelet (1942–2021)

Else Michelet was born in Trondheim, Norway, the daughter of a teacher. She earned a graduate degree in English, French and literary science from the University of Oslo and went to work for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1967. She has contributed to a wide variety of humor and satire programs and was the producer of the popular humorous radio series "Hallo i uken" from 1993 to 2009.
She has also written several books with a feminist viewpoint, including Sin egen herre (His Own Man, 1979), En annen historie (Another Story, 1981) and the novel Ariadnes tråd: et reiseliv (Ariadne's Thread: A Travelling Life, 1988). She has also translated several works, including several by Italian writer Dario Fo.
