A few of the projects in here show promise, and the decades-themed mood boards make for good inspiration, but most of the patterns in here fall short--if you're not in the habit of doing up your hair and makeup in the period style, you could easily just end up looking dumpy. That said, if you know your way around yarn and pattern manipulation, you could end up with something really smashing (for example, the wool chosen for the 30s loopy-knit bolero shown on cover makes the sweater look more like a bath rug, but the lines of the garment seem otherwise perfect). Not worth the purchase, but see if you can check it out from your library.… (mais)
