Simple, simple little pocket sized book to help identify the major insects in a trout's diet. Will be in my daypack on my next fishing trip.

This is a slightly better than average book on the subject. I think possibly a chance was missed to show why different flies were designed the way they are. There is usually a purpose for everything used in a fly, but there is no dicussion on this and for people to understand better the fly deceives fish. As an instruction manual for building flies the author does do a more than adequate job and this book should be recommended because of this if for no other reason.
