I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book. Ann Morrow has brought a past world into vivid description. Though the book was published in the 1980s, it's absolutely fascinating to read of the lives of the fabulously wealthy Maharajahs. Morrow was able to interview several of them and their descendants, which gives a well-rounded flavor to the book. It's not all praise and glory. Their mistakes and troubles are here, too. I can honestly say that each and every page was interesting.

Very strange booklet as it only mentions Diana a few times. There are very few pages that you can even read. It is mostly comprised of a scrapbook type collage. I am not sure what the author was trying to convey as it is in no way a book about Diana.

It is also very reassuring to get a sense of the Queen's commitment to her people. Only 3 1/2 stars as it is a bit long-winded in places, but there are some fascinating facts and rituals I had never heard of.… (mais)
