I listened as my classmate read this wonderfully intriguing book out loud in front of my Children's Literacy class. The class got a kick out of the book and I felt my future students would too. I think this book would be helpful to young writers. Children enjoy humor and the humor in this book might help them to get their funny thoughts down on paper!½

A gift to those who love words, the sound, shape, emotional vibe, and FUN of words. This would be a great way to kick off a session about nonsense words or descriptive language.

Ounce Dice Trice is a book for children and word-lovers. It is only fifty-seven pages long but the words are meant to be read aloud, one at a time, and they are so unpredictable and interact so well with Ben Shahn's drawings that if you belong to one of the two categories above, you will find you go back to it again and again.
