Arranged marriage shifter style.
It's a good story, at times I expected it to be more. It is not 100% on the Kindle, there are other stories included.
It has potential but it seemed to skim over things at times but it's worth a read esp on KU.

So, I originally got this for two reasons, 1) It was free, and 2) That title! It’s like a car accident on the free way. Too many emergency vehicles tells you it’s going to be bad, but no matter how resigned you are, you know you’re going to look. It’s morbid curiosity. It’s fascination with the macabre.

It started out kind of okay, and I was thinking, “Hmmm, maybe this won’t be a train wreck after all. Maybe the author just had a really bad choice of title?” Ummm, no. It lived up to its title alright. Mary Sueism, convenient plot points, unfleshed out characters, rushed concussions, non-stellar editing. You name it, I bet it’s in there.

So why two stars? I told you it was free. It didn’t start out too badly. And, that TITLE! That freaking awesomely horrid title!! I can’t help it. I love it. It’s so absolutely crap, that I cannot help but admire the cheese! Also, it was mercifully short. Those rushed conclusions came in handy.

BEWARE NOT TO GET A DRAGON MAD! My goodness, what a fast paced book and I Do love dragons. After stuffing her face with three day old desert, Lydia Crawford lay on the restaurant floor moaning. As manager she hated wasting food. It was the same every month, she on the floor and her best friend laughing and poking her! I loved the slightly nutty Lydia , her sordid sense of humor, and her need to protect her friend. Who couldn't love billionaire and hunky Ian Orkney, mmmmmmm !

STORY-LINE THE VAMPIRE KING'S MATE BY T. S. RYDER:

Vampire king Adam, the strongest vampire in the world, rules with strength and carries out equal justice for vampire and human. Adam's mother, forever badgering him to marry, has not succeed in her quest. When, a low down mealy vampire, brings in human female, Wanda Olsen, attempting to sell her to the King, he's infuriated and releases Wanda from bondage.

After a wildly fierce first meeting, Wanda finds Adam a vampire of his word; Adam found the woman he wants to marry. The course of true love will not be smooth sailing as these two face danger, betrayal, and misunderstandings.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Although a short read of 71 pages, Ryder packed this story full of action and romance. Infusing Wanda's character with strength and determination, Adam finds her his perfect mate. Adam, although built like a freight train and handsome as sin, has a giving heart and a wealth of patience, which is exactly what Wanda needs.

The plot progressed smooth and steady resulting in pacing which was in line with the length of the book. I also found including Adams brother, Christopher, added another plot line and depth to the story. Christopher, seen as the shallow baby brother, had a lot of growing up to do and I wondered if he would ever accept responsibility for his actions and the consequences. Also, Ryder created a dastardly villain for her story; one you will love to hate and will thirst for his demise.

In concluding my review, this book has several intense love scenes; therefore, I found it geared for the 18+ audience. Although intense they did not contain vulgarity or erotica; rather they were intense love between two persons in love.

THE VAMPIRE KING'S MATE RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4
