As a teen I would read a lot of Sweet Valley High stories. The Silver Strands series takes me back to that time. Young people dealing with grown up struggles as they take the plunge into making adult decisions. Own Me fits right into that format. Genevieve and Adam are thrown together at a time when they both are at their most vulnerable. What ends up developing is an affinity. As they get to know one another, an affection starts to grow that leads in a direction neither expected. An endearing look into a young adult relationship that is told with maturity and hidden layers of emotion. I received an ARC of Own Me by Lexi Scott in exchange for an honest review.

Risk Me by Lexi ScottMy rating: 3 of 5 starsLexi Scott has written an emotional coming of age saga. Risk Me is about learning that it is okay to be yourself. Regardless of what others think. Maren and Cohen found each other right when they needed to. But will they allow insecurities to keep them from taking a chance on each other? I do not want to give too much away. I really enjoyed this one! Whit is definitely a troubled soul. After losing her brother in the war, she is filled with guilt and regret over her role in his being there in the first place. Deo just seems a bit lost. No real direction or drive has him unemployed and living with his aging grandfather. When these two meet the attraction is immediate and intense but the issues they are dealing with may be too much to overcome.

I thought the writing and story were decent and would definitely recommend this one.… (mais)

This was an awesome story! Filled with humor, angst, family issues, and lots of sexy times! Very well written and I loved Cohen and Maren together.

Cohen thinks his life is going along fine. Now, he's just been dumped, labeled "not impulsive", and stuck working for his parents. Deciding to look for some excitement is embarks on a hilarious round of blind dates.

Maren has worked with the Cohen's forever. She loves her daily phone calls with Cohen and would love to get to know him better. Unfortunately her current family situation doesn't allow for anything serious and anything with Cohen would be serious she's sure. When he starts text sharing with her all the details of his bad blind dates she decides she knows the perfect girl for him. When they finally meet in person, attraction is immediate! Problem! Big problem!

You definitely will want to read as Cohen and Maren's relationship goes from work friends to lovers! I highly recommend it.… (mais)
