This was an amazing sci-fi novel, that gives the reader a chilling glance into an all-too-possible future. It raises some interesting questions - at one point are corporations too powerful, and how much are people willing to give up for an orderly society - and when does it cross the line into too far? I do have to warn you - set aside a few hours before you start reading, Straus's unique style will hold you captive for quite a while. The plot moves along decently quick, and the characters feel real, even though they live a century in the future. The entire setting feels all too real, and is brought to life around you, completely immersing you in the story. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys sci-fi and dystopian books.… (mais)

This book may be futuristic, but it is not really that far off to imagine it could be a reality. Now with more mention of AI technology. That is what makes this book that more intriguing. Instantly, I felt as if I was transported into this world.

Leandrea is a relatable character. I felt for her because she was an unlikely hero. She did not plan to be a savior but when it came time for her to help, she did not question but was ready for battle. She is not alone as she is accompanied by Izabelle and Ward and a few others.

Because I was invested in Leandrea and the world that author, Sarena built, that I found this book to be a quick read. I do look forward to reading more books by this author. ReInception is going to get you!

Wow..This book was not what I expected and I mean that in a good way. This is not a light read that can be accomplished in a few hours. To feel it all and experience exactly what the author did and that which she wants to share, you will read each and every word. I even found myself having to stop at times, to re-group and think about the chapter I had just read. Sections make the reader want to lay the book down and cry for those who were defenseless, cry with joy at some of the outcomes topped with some in between humor that she gently sprinkles. She brings us the stories of those often without a voice. This memoir was of her daily life and the choices and decisions that she had to make. This book brings a new view to the law enforcement, the criminals and those that were victims. Your emotions, all of them will be spent after each chapter of reading. You will walk away never ever really be able able to forget.… (mais)
