Truly creative! Sherlock ... on the Titanic? HGW, while not a writer for everyone, truly has one bright imagination. If you love historical fiction, and you love Sherlock Holmes - this is a brilliantly fun read. While the drama and mystery may be intended for suspense, you may laugh out loud at the prospect of these happenings. Some love scenes make it a little more PG-13 than many of ghostwriter's other books. Fun; romance; drama; mystery - all in a light-hearted historical fiction. Do read it if you don't take yourself too seriously. It's a lot of fun to see where he places the true historical characters we all know and love.… (mais)

This book literally had me laughing out loud at times, and I finished it in one sitting, just to see if it could possibly get any funnier. Which it did, and I’ve been retelling the jokes from it to my friends and family constantly since I finished it. Kim Jong-Un is easy to mock, as the Western media has been proving for the past few years, but this book takes all that to a whole new level.

The story is told in a style that suggests a serious read. It follows Kim’s life from birth onwards and it’s presented almost like a piece of North Korean propaganda. Which only makes it that much funnier and entertaining and it takes the absurdity of the North Korean situation to whole new heights.

I recommend this book to anyone who’s been following the events surrounding Kim Jong-Un and North Korea and shaking their heads in disbelief. If nothing else, it will make mocking him a little bit easier.

I was so happy to find out there’s a new installment of these Sherlock Holmes adventures available. I’ve been waiting for months for a new book in this series, and I literally read this one in one sitting. The MC Edmond Dantes is as life-like (or larger than life, depending on how you look at it) as ever, and this is definitely one of his more action packed and fast paced adventures. It’s also one of the steamier books in the series, which I for one appreciated.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I will say that the time period this story takes place in is captured perfectly and I felt myself transported to Civil War America as I read. The author continues to capture the voice of Arthur Conan Doyle perfectly and brings Sherlock Holmes back to life on the page. I will anticipate the new book in the series eagerly!

I completely enjoyed this retelling of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The discourse between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson was equally enjoyable. This was a clever way to expose this story to a new audience.
