Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
A lot of the books I have here are a result of university courses. My library is overwhelmingly fiction. Go-to writers of mine who are still living include Margaret Atwood, Kazuo Ishiguro, Dan Simmons, Michael Ondaatje, Anne Michaels, Tom Stoppard, Philip Pullman, Don DeLillo and new favourite Michael Chabon. This list is off the top of my head and I'm surely forgetting someone or other. I have a google alert set up for Seamus Heaney (I want to hear him read live) and am also ever on the lookout for nice, vintage editions of Louisa May Alcott's books, or works by her that I haven't yet read.
Acerca de Mim
I studied English literature in university and used to be able to read about five books a week, all at once. That number has sadly dropped since I left school and started working. I now go through reading spurts where I devour three books at any one time and dry spells, where all I read are graphic novels, issues of Vanity Fair or National Geographic, and the next day's newspapers.
