Book tagging is sporadic currently, I'll try to correct this as I read more.

Typically I place the name of the translator and date of translation in the comments section of the work. The year placed in the date column is the year the book was originally published, not the year of my edition which is usually, but not always, found in the publication.

I'm very particular with keeping a record of when I read a book, therefore meticulously put the date (month/year) that the book was read in the comments section. If I reread a book, then I'll place that date below the first.

To distinguish between serious reads and casual skims, I use the tags "read" and "skimmed".

My rating system is different for fiction and non-fiction.

For fiction I assign 3 stars to how 'good' the book was, this includes the quality of writing, characters, plot etc. 1.5 stars is average. The remaining 2 stars are for my personal preference, how well I 'enjoyed' it.

Non-fiction has a similar but slightly different system. 3 stars are assigned to how 'good' it is, that is content, ease of understanding, descriptions etc. 1 star is for how well the book achieves its stated aim, what the author set out to do. The last star is for, like fiction, how much I 'enjoyed' it

Fiction series are usually listed as one book, saves time and effort. I do sometimes put individual ratings of each book in the comments section if I feel it is warranted.

Collections are done to show whether I own a book, or whether it has left my possession. My wishlist of books are on my kalashnikov2 account.
