I am an avid reader of world history with a special focus on WWI, Revolutions in general, and the former lands of the Soviet Union specifically. I also have a weak spot for detective fiction and have read dozens of series in their entirety. That said I read multiple books at a time (I try to keep it down to 10) with topics ranging the full spectrum. My listings will start with the last couple of years since I started keeping a list once the Covid lock-down started. I suspect I will eventually branch out on my listings.
My Rating Scale:
5 stars = Breathtaking. This book touched me in a way that only a perfect book can do.
4.5 stars = A wonderful read, among my favorites of the year.
4 stars = A great read; truly enjoyable.
3.5 stars = I'm glad I read this.
3 stars = Pretty good, with a few things done well.
2.5 stars = Average, but keeps the reader engaged
2 stars = A bit below average. Often the low point in a series of interest.
1.5 stars = Really rather bad.
1 star = Among the worst books I've ever read.- Localização
