Very clue like where all the suspects are in the house
It was an older book and possibly from a series 40s-70s?
Vintage style painted covers (like nancy drew but more mature)
I think it was mustard yellow
Adult audience
Small book maybe 150 pages or so
I can only remember how it ends but I enjoyed the way it was written.
Ending: The maid or maid equivalent did it because she was jealous of the Lady of the house for her beauty. The maid was said to be very ugly.
