Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Like my classmates and I, Kobe grew up overseas in Italy.Kobe was not a military brat but his father was a professional basketball player for an Italian team.Kobe used to go to his father basketball practices and played every player one on one and Kobe started to beat them.Kobe once said that he was not talented in basketball but he practiced for hours every single day of the year until he was the player he is today.Kobe Bryant is one of the few players to be drafted out of high school.Now you may think he was drafted by the lakers but actually, he was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets then was traded to the lakers.Kobe Bryant had a remarkable career he had historic nights for when he scored 81 points, won countless MVP,5 NBA championships, and a hall of fame.
I really enjoyed this book because Kobe Bryant is one of my favorite players of all time. Kobe Bryant is a role model to me 1 because he is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and also he grew overseas like me. I would rate this book about an 8 out of 10 because it really goes into detail about Kobe Bryant life.I would also recommend this book to 7th graders to 8th graders readers and people that want to learn about basketball stars.
