As someone who finds Kevin O'Leary on tv terribly abrasive, I was surprised to find this book warm, funny, sensible and useful. ( )

This is highly readable and quite sensible. However, I have read several personal finance book now and I'm not sure I picked up anything new from this one. O'Leary's personal anecdotes and pictures were a good personal touch that made the reading worthwhile. His advice for younger people rang more true. I can presume that he went through the challenges of building wealth himself. But given his current billionaire status, it's hard to feel he has his pulse on the reality of the regular person anymore, so his tune about finances in later adulthood didn't ring as true. ( )

OK book, but didn't learn all that much new content. Its mostly common sense. Some of his stories are good. The best part was the chapter on trading youth and fertility for money. I hadn't thought of that concept before. ( )
