A little boy's bed gets quite crowded during a thunderstorm when his many scared pets join him. A good story for reading aloud. ( )

The book "Boom! Boom! Boom!" by Jamie A. Swenson is a story about a child who experiences a storm and to get through it he has his animals come join him in bed. The text is written to rhyme, however, there is a sentence before each phrase when the animals first come in the story that throws off the pattern that is normally there. When every animal comes in the story there is a sentence where the animal makes their animal noise followed by asking if there is room. This makes for awkward phrasing and throws off the flow that is normally in rhyming books.
