Cat Devon’s Entity series continues with Ronan and Sierra’s story, he’s a too sexy for his clothes, vamp with a twisted past and she’s a voluptuous writer, and a more than merely human. Her Chicago setting for her Vamptown really works and her quirky co-stars both good and evil are uniquely preternatural with everything from vampires, to witches to demons and beyond. Her narrative is witty, sexy and wickedly entertaining with just the right amount of angst, drama and malevolence but not overly dark. The inclusion of real authorial happenings in this episode gives readers a fly on the wall look at the days-in-the-life of a novelist. Her couple is an ingenious paring and their lovemaking is rocket-fuel flammable while their love story is sweet with a fair amount of spice. The series is read better in order but the novels will stand on their own. If you enjoy the paranormal writings of Lynsay Sands, Charlaine Harris or Heather Graham you’ll love Cat’s novels. ( )
