When our young kid gets told a new baby is coming, they wonder how do you get a new baby. This book explores the answer various people give until they get to the truth. This is a fun, tongue-in-cheek story, and I can see it being used for many seasons to come. One of the best things is that it’s truthful and explores how colloquialisms can be confusing to children. A kid's parents reveal the happy news that the family will be getting a new baby, but the kid is left wondering...from where? They ask the classic "where do babies come from?" question of a teenager, a teacher, the mailman, and Grandpa, before getting the real answer from Mom and Dad. (Everyone was a little bit right - babies do come from a seed and an egg and the hospital - except Grandpa. Storks are not involved.) The perfect book to explain where babies come from - gentle, honest, and funny.
