I loved this book! Matt is a Navy Seal who falls for Abby, a pregnant widow with 4 kids when they meet on the beach after he is hit by her little boy's football. I'm usually not a lover of romance books where they fall as fast as Matt and Abby do in this one, but this one worked for me. I liked them together; I believed their attraction and Matt's to the kids. I have always loved a handsome military man in a romance and Matt's character was written so well. If you love a beautiful romantic book, give this one a try. ( )

Hm. Great story arc. i found the heroine to be a bit too woe is me. I mean, dude he is a seal. Deal with is. Sure he can promise but at the end of the day he has to go....

Reading #2 - found the heroine even more annoying this time. What a weak link. And that weakness and all plays out as selfish. DOnt' read this if you have family in the armed forces. it will piss you off. I really wanted to like it more. ( )

Adding another voice here to all the love this book is getting. Well written well plotted. At first I wasn't sure I was going to buy this guy falling for a woman with 4 kids while he was on vacation but she totally sold me on it. The emotions were realistic and believable. Both of them just seemed to need each other. I sometimes have a problem with military men who are all messed up because a buddy had died and they are living their lives some odd way that they themselves don't want so that they can make it up to the guy who died. Not that I don't think people can feel that way but I think that authors over use it and drag it out unrealistically just to make their book longer. So after saying that, I felt that it worked well here. There was more reason than normal for him feeling that way and he actively fought it himself.

So best part of the book for me? The children were totally written as children. They talked about the things toddlers talked about and reacted to things the way toddlers do. Same for the 5 and 6 year olds. I get really tired of little kids acting like 12 year olds in books. I loved the way the hero was with them. ( )

A bit cheesy for my tastes but, all in all, an enjoyable romance.

I really don't have anything bad to say about [b:Worth the Fall|22075732|Worth the Fall (The McKinney Brothers, #1)|Claudia Connor|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1399942620s/22075732.jpg|40787535]: it's well written, the drama level is acceptable, its main characters are quite likeable and their connection is undeniable. Still it wasn't enough. Probably, it's just a good-book-at-the-bad-time situation :(
