Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in November 1922 by the archaeologists Howard Carter and the fifth Earl of Carnarvon. The discovery was an important archaeological event. Tutankhamun's tomb is the only tomb dating from Egypt's New Kingdom (c1550-1069 BC) to have been found substantially intact. The contents provide an unequalled insight into royal funerary practices, art and craftsmanship of the period. A short history of Egypt surrounding the Tutankhamun is given and then various objects found in the Tutankhamun's tomb are presented with their respective explanations. The explanations to the objects, the cultural values surrounding the reason for the particular designs are the best parts of the book. The history given is rushed. The events provided are given a short description with poor transitions to other events. ( )
